Interesting timing and interesting language.

"We will never give up. You couldn't settle if you thought about giving up. I want an end, an answer. Whatever that it is."
We is used to show unity and shared co operation.
She starts off with We  and then tells us never give up.
This is to presuppose that Maddie will never be found, which contradicts all they have been telling us, that Maddie is alive somewhere waiting to be found.They could only say they will never give up if they know she will never be found?
Never give up presumes there will be no end date such as,

We will never give up until we find her.
Which indicates there is a possibility of an ending.

It is finite as opposed to infinite.

As she points out, other cases where a missing child has been found years and decades later.
What she doesn't mention is the high profile cases where children have been recovered, they were all pubescent or adolescents not toddlers.

The girls were raped and abused and forced to have the abductors children in some cases.

In cases where younger children have been abducted and later found and returned home, most if not all are parental or familial abduction rather than stranger abduction.

She doesn't tell us what they will never give up.
Readers would assume she was talking about the search for Maddie.
She doesn't say that though.
What is it they will never give up?
I don't know.
I suspect she is instead referring to threatening and suing anyone who disbelieves them including Dr. Goncalo Amaral.
They will never give up protecting their reputations.
They will never give up asking for donations to fund their non existent search for their daughter, rather the donations will be spent on protecting themselves from prosecution.

They can't give up since to do so would  likely mean the truth will come out and it's game over

Then she switches pronoun to her ever favorite 2nd person pronoun you indicates distancing.

She doesn't tell us I (she) couldn't settle if I (she) thought about giving up.
We know we wouldn't and couldn't settle or think about giving up.
She doesn't tell us that she wouldn't be able to settle or think about giving up.
How could she when she didn't tell us what the giving up related to
She then reverts back to first person singular I in relation to wanting an end.
Note though the dropped pronoun in relation to an answer.
There is also a dropped pronoun in relation to Whatever that it is."
She has no need for an answer since she knows what happened to Maddie although she may not know exactly where her remains are.I want an end is a strong statement.
She takes ownership of it with the first person singular I.

I suspect this is truthful as in after 9 years of investigation by the PJ and Scotland yard, there is still no evidence of their claim of alleged abduction of their daughter.
Not even something that indicates it could be a remote possibility.

After 9 years of investigation by 2 police forces as well as the alleged investigations by numerous private  investigators of a dubious provenance, there is still not an iota of evidence to show a stranger got into the apartment and abducted Maddie.

This is highly unusual given the mccann mantra of abduction by a paedophile.

Since there is not one iota of evidence to indicate a stranger abduction, i look for what if any evidence there is.

Surprisingly enough there is  forensic evidence.
Lots of it.
Evidence in their apartment 5a.
Evidence behind the sofa,  in the tile grouting and in the parents wardrobe.
There is also the recently laundered and still damp lounge curtains behind said sofa.

There is evidence relating to clothing and toys.
Kate's black and white checked trousers.
The child's red t shirt.
Cuddlecat, who was famously washed due to being dirty and smelling of sun lotion rather than Maddie.
All three caused a trained cadaver dog (Eddie) to react to them, a dog who cannot and will not react to any other scent.
A blood dog (Keela) also reacted behind the sofa indicating the presence of blood.

There is no record of anyone ever having died in the apartment

We then have the cadaver dog reacting in the apartment garden.
No report of anyone having died in the garden.

We then have both the cadaver dog and the blood dog reacting to the trunk of the hire car, a car hired weeks after Maddie disappeared.
We also have a reaction to a key fob.

Instead of the parents doing the expected which would be OMG is my child hurt?
Did the abductor injure her?
Did the abductor kill her?
Did the abductor use the hire car before we did?
On pages 249-250 of ‘madeleine’, for example, she writes:

“At one point [during the screening of a video of the cadaver dog Eddie alerting to the scent of a corpse in the living room of the McCanns’ apartment] the handler [Martin Grime] directed the dogs to a spot behind the conch in the sitting room, close to the curtains. He called the dogs over to him to investigate this particular site.

“The dogs ultimately ‘alerted’. I felt myself starting to relax a little. This was not what I would call an exact science”.

Why did she not do the expected, do what an innocent parent would do?
Why did she react as would a guilty person?
Where is her maternal concern for what could possibly have happened to her daughter ?

Further along the book she wrote about the cadaver and the car.
“…we were in an underground garage where eight or so cars were parked, including our rented Renault Scenic. It was hard to miss: the windows were plastered with pictures of Madeleine. In medicine we would call this an ‘unblinded’ study, one that is susceptible to bias. One of the dogs ran straight past our car, nose in the air, heading towards the next vehicle.

“The handler stopped next to the Renault and called the dog. It obeyed, returned to him, but then ran off again. Staying by the car, PC Grime instructed the dog to come back several times and directed it to certain parts of the vehicle before it eventually supplied an alert by barking…when researching the validity of sniffer dog evidence later that month, Gerry would discover that false alerts can be attributable to the conscious or unconscious signals of the handler…this certainly seemed to be what was happening here…”
Then we have the reports of the trunk of the hire car being left open nightly  to air as witnessed by neighbors and then a report by a family friend Michael Wright regarding the hire car.
I noted some disagreeable smells on a number of occasions which I judged to have come from the twins' nappies. Discarded nappies were collected in rubbish bags and held until thrown into the [rubbish] bins, [thereby] provoking smell.]
The mccanns and friends came up with explanations as to why the dogs reacted, blaming soiled diapers, rotting meat, sweaty sandals and the like.

Had the smell been down to simple garbage such as  diapers etc, the smell would have cleared fairly quickly once the source had been removed.
However cadaverine is a persistent little bugger and won't wash out.
Once something gets tainted with it, it hangs around despite laundering.

Instead of demanding to know who had access to the hire car in the weeks before they hired it, they came up with explanations.
There was also no report of anyone having died in said hire car, or anyone transporting a dead person in said hire car.

What is known is that a 3 year old disappeared from her vacation apartment.
The parents and chums lied about who was doing whom and what.
The parents refused to cooperate with Law Enforcement.
They hired very expensive defense lawyers.
Cadaver  and blood dogs reacted in the apartment, to certain items and also the hire car.
They reacted no where else, no other apartments of available clothing items.
Every indication from the forensics and statements from all parties in the group point to something happening to Maddie during that week that caused her death.
For the mccanns and chums, it became all about protecting their tainted reputations.
Cue legal suits and threats etc.
Then came the Leveson Inquiry where the mccanns made a statement  revealing their 'anguish'
However, kate being kate and a lousy liar, then promptly perjured herself in said Leveson Inquiry.
when:
Mrs McCann says that they had no recourse and lies became facts, for example that body fluids were found in their car.
Interesting.

The lies became facts according to the media, yet she and gerry had come up with explanations as to why the dogs could have reacted and indicated as they did.

In other words, the dogs were reacting to something non existent and the mccanns had an explanation for said non existent things in the hire car that provoked a canine response.

After 9 years, the investigation having been reopened by the PJ and the mccanns having no clue as to what evidence the PJ have is taking its toll.

How can they defend themselves against they know not what?

The suspicion has never stopped.
The threats and legal actions against the media and even the ex lead detective who was charged with finding their daughter have not silenced the critics.
Their reputations are in tatters, kate is pretty much unemployable, after all who is going to employ a self confessed child neglector in their practice, especially should she have to report an abused or neglected child.
She would be laughed out of court, pot and kettle springing to mind.
She could never work with the public because of who she is and the attention she would bring.
Gerry i suspect is trapped in his job and location since no reputable hospital is going to employ a self confessed child neglector.

It is also likely that staff would refuse to work with him and patients would refuse to be seen by him.

I wouldn't even be sure he could be employed abroad again since he and kate have not been cleared of involvement, and no hospital is going to employ a self confessed child neglector or child killer (by accident or design)

Kate wants an end, an end to all the stress she is suffering, the guilt she is suffering.
It is eating her alive as we can see in her later pictures.
She looks now like she should have done when Maddie first went missing.

She wants an answer, but she doesn't say what to.
The answer relates to her wanting an end.
Does this relate to her wanting to press a button and they would ALL be together?

Kate said: "It really isn't easy," coping. "Some days are better than others. ... There's days when you think, 'I can't do this anymore,' and you just want to press a button, and we're ALL gone, and it's all finished, and we're ALL together and gone.
Wherever.
But you can't, you know. Just occasionally you'll have a -- if you're having a really bad day, which we do. And you can't help but think that."

The obvious answer would be what happened to Maddie and where she is.

The answer would be identifying who took Maddie.

The answer would be why did he pick Maddie and not one of the twins or another child from another family?

The answer would be how he committed the abduction without leaving any physical trace.
Why does she need to ask whatever that it is?

Does it relate to confessing the truth and accepting the consequences?
If it does it would be a relief for her and an end to the stress she is suffering and will continue to suffer until the truth comes out.
Does it relate to pressing a button?
If so then the twins are at considerable risk of harm.
Is she asking herself about wanting an end?
She wants an answer to her wanting an end?
Is she asking herself whether she could end it?
What does she mean by an end?
What does she mean by an answer?

Is this something she has discussed with someone else, such as gerry, a priest, a therapist or someone trusted?
Is she signalling she wants to come clean?What answer would be an end?

I think kate is edging closer to a breakdown.
Trapped in a loveless marriage, a marriage that was in trouble before the vacation to PDL.
Judging by the bruises on her wrists and arms after Maddie vanished, was domestic violence involved?
She lives with the fear that perhaps one of the tapas 7 will decide to speak out (minimising their role as applicable)
Could they speak out due to guilt or guilty knowledge?
Could they speak out for a reward?
Could they speak out for immunity or maybe a plea deal?

What about their families?

Could gerry's family throw kate under the bus?

if kate was the only one charged, gerry could make millions from a book saying how he was deceived by kate, he did what he did to protect his family etc.
Act up the hardworking struggling single father  of twins.
Maybe even a movie as was previously suggested or a mini series.
All the chat shows.
Possible political role or charitable role.

Whilst she stews in a prison cell or maybe if she is lucky a suitable hospital.

Kate, you need to talk to someone, someone you can trust to do the right thing by Maddie and by you.
Someone who is willing to listen and advise.
Someone who will be right by your side as you take the first steps to bring this whole charade to an end.

Someone who will make sure the twins are cared for and that you get all the help you need.

Kate you want to talk, I and many others are prepared to listen, to be non judgemental, to advise on your options and, yes, even hold your hand as you take the first step.

Think about it please.

Speak out and it cannot be as bad as you imagined.

Speak the truth and we can and will forgive, for none of us are perfect.

If it was an accident, accidents happen, even if the parent is right next to the child.

Speak the truth if not for you, then for Sean and Amelie so they can grieve and move on with their lives.

Speak the truth so you can grieve publicly and start the long overdue healing process, to come to terms with what happened.

Subtle Demeaning

I have seen much subtle demeaning of Maddie from not only the mccanns, her grandparents and aunts and uncles have subtly demeaned her as well.

It would be Maddie's fault she died.

If she had only listened, done what she was told.
Didn't do what she did do.
Been quiet,.
Been obedient.
Been perfect.
Possibly been gerry's (The IVF would reveal the truth as to who was the parent to whom, this may be one reason why their medical files were sealed)
Had gone to live with relatives.
Had not had a favorite parent.
Had stayed in her room.
Had not had a tantrum.
Had not argued or any number of other excuses and reasons.

The expected when someone dies, even if they were horrible killers or something else, friends, family and neighbors will always try to find something positive to say about them, even if it was they were a quiet neighbor, they always said hello, they took in a stray/rescue etc.

With Maddie it was all about tantrums and jealousy and screaming and hitting her siblings with a toy.
Maddie is not remembered for all the positives she brought into her parents and siblings lives, she is, instead, remembered for the negatives.

This is unexpected and revealing.

Kate Refused To Answer 48 Questions As Possibly Incriminating So She Wrote a Book Instead

Kate was asked to answer 48 questions in relations to Maddie, her family, what happened during their vacation, and what she saw the night of may 3rd.

These are the questions:

1. On May 3 2007, around 22:00, when you entered the apartment, what did you see? What did you do? Where did you look? What did you touch?

2.  Did you search inside the bedroom wardrobe? (she replied that she wouldn’t answer)

3. (shown 2 photographs of her bedroom wardrobe) Can you describe its contents?

4.  Why had the curtain behind the sofa in front of the side window (whose photo was shown to her) been tampered with? Did somebody go behind that sofa?

5. How long did your search of the apartment take after you detected your daughter Madeleine’s disappearance?

6. Why did you say from the start that Madeleine had been abducted?

7. Assuming Madeleine had been abducted, why did you leave the twins home alone to go to the ‘Tapas’ and raise the alarm? Because the supposed abductor could still be in the apartment.

8. Why didn’t you ask the twins, at that moment, what had happened to their sister or why didn’t you ask them later on?

9. When you raised the alarm at the ‘Tapas’ what exactly did you say and what were your exact words?

10. What happened after you raised the alarm in the ‘Tapas’?

11. Why did you go and warn your friends instead of shouting from the veranda?

12. Who contacted the authorities?

13.  Who took place in the searches?

14.  Did anyone outside of the group learn of Madeleine’s disappearance in those following minutes?

15. Did any neighbour offer you help after the disappearance?

16. What does 'we let her down' mean?

17.  Did Jane tell you that night that she’d seen a man with a child?

18.  How were the authorities contacted and which police force was alerted?

19. During the searches, with the police already there, where did you search for Maddie, how and in what way?

20. Why did the twins not wake up during that search or when they were taken upstairs?

21. Who did you phone after the occurrence?

22. Did you call Sky News?

23. Did you know the danger of calling the media, because it could influence the abductor?

24. Did you ask for a priest?

25. By what means did you divulge Madeleine’s features, by photographs or by any other means?

26. Is it true that during the searches you remained seated on Maddie’s bed without moving?

27. What was your behaviour that night?

28. Did you manage to sleep?

29. Before travelling to Portugal did you make any comment about a foreboding or a bad feeling?

30. What was Madeleine’s behaviour like?

31. Did Maddie suffer from any illness or take any medication?

32. What was Madeleine’s relationship like with her brother and sister?

33. What was Madeleine’s relationship like with her brother and sister, friends and school mates?

34. As for your professional life, in how many and which hospitals have you worked?

35. What is your medical specialty?

36. Have you ever done shift work in any emergency services or other services?

37. Did you work every day?

38. At a certain point you stopped working, why?

39. Are the twins difficult to get to sleep? Are they restless and does that cause you uneasiness?

40.  Is it true that sometimes you despaired with your children’s behaviour and that left you feeling very uneasy?

41. Is it true that in England you even considered handing over Madeleine’s custody to a relative?

42. In England, did you medicate your children? What type of medication?

43.   In the case files you were SHOWN CANINE forensic testing films, where you can see them marking due to detection of the scent of human corpse and blood traces, also human, and only human, as well as all the comments of the technician in charge of them. After watching and after the marking of the scent of corpse in your bedroom beside the wardrobe and behind the sofa, pushed up against the sofa wall, did you say you couldn’t explain any more than you already had?

44.   When the sniffer dog also marked human blood behind the sofa, did you say you couldn’t explain any more than you already had?

45.  When the sniffer dog marked the scent of corpse coming from the vehicle you hired a month after the disappearance, did you say you couldn’t explain any more than you already had?

46.  When human blood was marked in the boot of the vehicle, did you say you couldn’t explain any more than you already had?

47.   When confronted with the results of Maddie’s DNA, whose analysis was carried out in a British laboratory, collected from behind the sofa and the boot of the vehicle, did you say you couldn’t explain any more than you already had?

48.   Did you have any responsibility or intervention in your daughter’s disappearance?
A QUESTION SHE DID ANSWER

Q.  Are you aware that in not answering the questions you are jeopardising the investigation, which seeks to discover what happened to your daughter?
A.  'Yes, if that’s what the investigation thinks.'

Kate was advised to refuse to answer the 48 questions on the grounds she might incriminate herself
If you did nothing, how can you incriminate yourself?

She refused to even answer the simplest, most non incriminating questions.

WHY?

Anyhow, she followed her lawyer's advice, answering only the 49th.
When asked if she knew that, by not answering the questions, she was hindering the search for her daughter, to which she replied:


'Yes, if that’s what the investigation thinks.'

.She followed the advice of her lawyers and didn't answer the questions.

On learning that kate was going to write a book about Maddie and the events in PDL, I suspect her lawyers then advised her not to write said book for the same reason, IE not incriminating herself.

Luckily for us she ignored them and wrote said book.

I would love to have seen and heard her lawyers' response on learning what she had done.

I suspect kate does what kate wants and she does not tolerate being told no.

Kate knows best.

Given that since the day Maddie died, likely before May 3rd (allegedly abducted according to the mccanns and chums) and the mccanns have repeatedly claimed that someone out there has the answer to the questions as to what happened to Maddie, someone knows something, someone has information they need to tell the police, why don't they see the incongruity of telling people to come forward if they have information whilst kate refused to answer 48 questions which could have helped find her missing daughter.

What innocent parent refuses to answer questions, no matter how personal or embarrassing?

If they have nothing to hide and were not involved in the death of their daughter, what could there be that was incriminating?

Why did gerry answer his questions and kate refused hers, especially given it would make her look guilty as heck?

Did kate think gerry would refuse to answer his questions?

Did they decide one would answer and one would not so their answers could not be compared?

If kate only learned later that gerry had answered his questions and she had expected him to refuse, why did she then not go back and answer all the questions she had previously refused to answer?

By kate not answering, it made her look as if she had something to hide.
It made her the focus of public scrutiny and a lot of questions relating to her refusal to cooperate in the search for her daughter.

Was this gerry's plan?

If all else fails throw kate under the bus.

What motive was given for kate writing the book?

Why was the book pretty much all about kate (who had her name in capitals whilst Maddie's was all lower case, indicating priority and importance) rather than Maddie, who she was, her character, her favorite things, her life, he relationships with her siblings and extended family?

If kate was advised not to write the book, especially given it could then be used in evidence against her, why dd she go ahead anyway?

Who suggested kate write a book?

I  wonder what gerry's role was in  relation to the book?

Did he say go for it realizing how much money was likely to come rolling in?

Did he suggest it?

Did he think that by kate writing it and having her name on the cover was a good marketing ploy?

Did he think that if things went bosoms up, kate would be in the firing line and he would be the innocent father?

Did he think if charges are filed and kate gets jailed, he can then write a book saying how he tried to protect his family from an unstable kate,explaining why kate had so much help with the children and she was never left alone with them for any length of time?

He was as mislead as the rest of us and didn't know Maddie had died at the hands of kate.

He believed kate when she said she was not involved and she had not sedated the children.

He lied to try and keep his family together whilst getting kate the medical help she needed.

How he is now the devastated father of a little girl and the now single father doing his best to raise the twins whilst holding down his job as a heart consultant.

Tugging the public heartstrings he will continue to be brave, a loving father to his surviving children, playing the role of victim to the hilt whilst slamming everyone else for failing his wife and Maddie.

How he sadly had to leave kate and divorce her, finding love with a new close friend etc.
You get my drift.

One eye on the money and one eye on getting some advisory role or even entering politics.

Writing the book was a dumb move for the mccanns, especially the comment on page 129 referring to Maddie's genitals.

How did that ever get past the editor given  the claims of paedophilia that swirl around the mccanns and the tapas 7?

Given that the book was supposedly written for the twins to read when they were old enough, how would she explain such a tasteless choice of words?

Given how it would make the public feel about kate, how it would make even their supporters feel when they read of a supposedly bereft mother talking about visualizing her daughter's torn genitals?

As an side, why did they describe Maddie as almost perfect and yet kate described Maddie's genitals as perfect?

Even if they were to write an updated version of the book, the damage is already done.
Words written cannot be unwritten.

Even on the internet words written can be saved, cached.
Words seen cannot be unseen, especially when it appears to be a mea culpa.

Tormented Kate McCann told last night how she is visited in the night by the spirit of her missing daughter Madeleine.
The anguished GP says she is regularly woken up by visions of the four-year-old in her bedroom. Kate, 39, revealed the visions to her mum, Susan Healy, who was worried about her daughter’s lack of sleep
Susan had assumed Kate and husband Gerry were being kept awake by her two-year old twins, Sean and Amelie.
She was stunned when Kate revealed it was missing Madeleine who was haunting her.
Susan, said: "She told me she has difficulty sleeping and wakes during the night. I asked:
'Do the twins come and wake you up?'
Kate said:
"No, it's Madeleine. She comes in."

The police know the truth.
We the public know the truth.
You, kate and gerry, know the truth.
The tapas 7 know the truth.
Clarence,your PR spokesman, knows the truth.
The dodgy detectives you hired know the truth.
The twins know the truth.
Your families know, or, at least, suspect the truth

Your own words have betrayed you.
The time is now to come clean, admit the truth about what happened and where you dumped Maddie's remains.
Speak now, bring Maddie's remains home so she can be buried with dignity.
Admit the truth of your involvement, cooperate and the courts will be merciful.
Tell us what happened and we the public will be merciful.
Confess and then you can begin the process of grieving and healing.
End the charade and let Sean and Amelie  grieve and start to live a normal life.
Come clean and get the help you need.
Do what is right by Maddie as well as Sean and Amelie.

Looking back through the statements, i don't believe they were left alone each night as they claim, again the minimizing.

They could admit to child neglect and maybe serve 10 yrs maximum for neglect resulting in harm except they would and could plea deal down to a couple of years at worst, and more likely depending on how good their expensive lawyers are, maybe even probation and a hefty fine

This would be their best option since, if charged for neglect, they couldn't then be charged with homicide, concealing a corpse and filing a false police report.

It was the lesser of two evils, heck they might even keep their licenses after a suspension, retraining or supervision.

Each night one adult was away from the table, it was blamed on sickness either of the adult or a child.

The children weren't left alone as claimed.

The mccanns had to claim this as it was the only way an abduction could take place.

No abductor is going to go into a house with a wide awake adult watching the kids, it would be too damn risky.

Gerry himself told us all the children were in one apartment when he said:

"Anybody with young children will understand that children cry; they wake up at night.
During that week there was one night, errr… and we can't give too much detail because it's part of the investigation file but there was one night where Madeleine came through and one of the other, errr… twins were crying, so, you know, and when she did mention to it… it to us and we asked her about it and she just dropped… she was completely fine and we thought, "Was it when they were bathing, getting them, you know, first putting them down in that period when they're really tired".
Of course, with hindsight, in the… in the context of what had happened; of Madeleine being abducted, it's put in a very different light and it's put in a very different light to us and, of course, we emphasized that to the police."

Firstly he talks about one of the other twins.

There was only one set of twins, that was Sean and Amelie mccann.

Therefore there couldn't be one of the other twins.

What we see is him self editing, ie editing as he talks, looking to stop anything incriminating slipping out, this leads to disjointed speech with lots on nonsense sounds, stuttering and pauses.

What was he going to say?

One of the other children.?

He realized what he was going to say (all the children were in one place) and stopped himself although he still messed it up as we can see.

If all the children were in one apartment and being babysat by whichever adult was missing from the table that night, there was no neglect.

If there was no neglect there could be no abduction.

No abduction meant awkward questions for kate and gerry mccann and one or more of the tapas 7

Gerry realised he was about to open mouth and insert foot so he stopped himself.

However he may have prevented that marble from escaping, he failed however to notice the other marbles of truth leaking out when he spoke about crying and the children being bathed, or being put to bed.

This truth slipped out without him realising.

He has just admitted all the children were in one apartment  being bathed and put to bed by one or more adults from the group but not by kate and gerry.

Could Maddie Have Had An Accident And Died?

If it were an accident, and accidents do happen, even if the parents are right next to the child, they would not have been charged with anything.

If it had been an accident that caused Maddie's death, why would the tapas 7 go into silent mode?

If it had been an accident why not call emergency services?

If it had been an accident why would they not want an autopsy performed?

If it had been say, an accidental overdose, they could have claimed Maddie ate the pills thinking it was candy whilst kate was having her first shower or, she woke up to pee, found the pills and ate them then went back to bed.
They carried on with their 'checks' seeing her in bed and thought she was sleeping and found her dead the next day in bed.

The same thing as above except, Maddie woke up, went into the sitting room and died behind the sofa.
They woke up and didn't see Maddie in her bed, they searched the apartment and found her dead behind the sofa.

In either case they would have called 911 even though they were doctors in the hope that perhaps their daughter wasn't dead (even when it is clear the child is dead blue,cold etc, a parent will always hope their child is still alive due to parental instinct, especially moms)

Since the children were all being babysat by the missing adult, they could have claimed Maddie ate some pills found somewhere and the result as above.

We regularly hear about children being poisoned or dying because they ate a liquitab laundry detergent or ate some of the parents prescription pills, or even they ingested some of the parents illegal drugs or methadone

It was an accident and no charges would or could have been laid against anyone.

There may have been some condemnation  for leaving pills or poisonous substances lying around in reach of a child, especially since they were both doctors, on the whole though there would have been sympathy.

If it had been an accidental overdose, questions may have been asked by the GMC as to why they had such drugs in their possession if if wasn't an OTC medicine, why it was not kept secure and out of the reach of children, if it was a prescription medication why it was needed and how did the children get access to it?

The GMC would probably slap their wrist and tell them don't do it again or, at worst,  have them supervised for a period of time or undergo retraining.

The practice where kate worked may ask she undergo retraining and be supervised for whatever length of time.

They would still employ her  as she had done nothing wrong.Friendships could have ended or been strained as the mccanns blamed the babysitter for not paying enough attention, leaving toxic substances within reach possibly, given the litigious nature of kate and gerry, suing said babysitter or, their own marriage, which was already on the rocks, would have probably ended as each blamed the other for Maddie's death.

What happened to Maddie that was so bad, they could not allow emergency services to try and help her?What happened to Maddie that was so bad, they could not allow an autopsy to be performed?

If Maddie was killed deliberately or accidentally by a member of the tapas 7 why would they not call emergency services and allow an autopsy to be performed?

The parents could have claimed ignorance of the peccadilloes of one of the group and are as shocked and horrified as everyone else, that the person they trusted to look after their children could have killed one.

They would have no reason to be deceptive and uncooperative if they didn't know or suspect one of their friends was a danger to their children.
 
Had Maddie been sexually abused by one or more of the group and the mccanns didn't know, they would have no need to be deceptive and uncooperative.
 
The mccanns would have a reason to be deceptive and uncooperative if they knew what was happening to Maddie and possibly other children and did nothing to prevent such deeds, protect their children or failed to report the perpetrator.

The mccanns would have a reason to be deceptive and uncooperative if they themselves, either one or both were physically abusing Maddie.The mccanns would have a reason to be deceptive and uncooperative if they themselves, either one or both were sexually abusing Maddie.

The autopsy would have revealed the truth, something they could not allow to happen.

Signs of long term and ongoing sedation, samples of hair would reveal such and what drugs were used.
Blood samples would reveal if Maddie had been sedated ( they would also then want hair samples and blood samples from the twins, this would help in part to explain why they refused the twins to be taken to hospital to be checked out and then having their hair cut months later)

When anything is introduced into a statement it means it is sensitive to the subject, they have a reason to include it, the trick is to find out why the subject felt the need to include it in their statement

Signs of long term  and ongoing physical abuse such as scars, broken and healed bones, cuts and bruises would have prompted questions and demands to see the children's medical records to see if they had been to ER or seen their own doctor (especially if she had a coloboma which can also have other associated health issues, health issues that can be a result of her just being an IVF baby, or other health issues such as autism)
All of which could partly explain physical injuries.

Signs of long term or ongoing sexual abuse which could never be explained away as accidental.
Things such as repeated urinary tract infections, injuries to the genitalia and/or anus.

All of which would have lead to awkward questions of the parents and their friends and those who had access to the children.
It all comes back to:

The mccann's And The Metropolitan Police Investigation

As far as i am aware, the Met cannot and does not have any influence in regard to Maddie's death and disposal investigation.

The case is and always has been under the jurisdiction of the Portuguese Police, only they can arrest and bring charges against the mccanns and chums in relation to the homicide, concealment of a corpse and filing a false police report.

Even if the Met end their investigation, the Portuguese one is still active and, as it should be, they are saying nothing regarding how their investigation is going.

Something which bothers and annoys the mccanns intensely.

How can they spin an investigation in their favor, counter any leaks that point to their guilt, when they do not know what has been found.

At best, all the mccanns can do in relation to the Met ending their investigation is talk the talk and hide the money and then claim it is/has been spent on hiring private detectives.

I suspect that having learned lessons from their previous private dickheads, they won't be hauling them out into the public eye and having them spout garbage anytime soon.
We all saw how that ended.

Private detectives like to keep a low profile since to be outed makes their job harder if everyone knows what they look and sound like.

The mccanns will not be spending any actual money on their supposed search since the Met could not arrest and charge then with homicide, concealment of a corpse and filing a false police report.
At best they would advise their Portuguese colleagues of what they have found and then have the Portuguese apply for a EAW (European Arrest Warrant)

The Met could only arrest and charge them in relation to the fraudulent fund and possibly obtaining money and services by deception and maybe, just maybe, obstruction of justice and perverting the course of justice in regard to the fund.

This would also likely involve charging clarrie as well.

The mccanns are talking garbage knowing they have no need to spend any money.

They would only 'may' spend money should the Portuguese investigation be shelved.

It is typical distraction by the mccanns and also typical of their annual Christmas appeal.

Look over here, not over there.

Could It Have Been An Accidental Death?

If it were an accident, why would they need to cover it up, dispose of the body and file a false police report?

Think of it like this, if it were truly an accident, why would they make it look like a homicide?

The only reason they acted the way they did is because it could not have been explained away as an accident.

There was something so incriminating they could not explain it away, nor allow a post mortem to take place.

Had she died from an accidental overdose of a sedative, it could have been explained away.

Maddie ate the pills thinking they were candy and died whilst the mccanns were sleeping in the apartment.

She woke up and due to the pills which the mccanns didn't know she had eaten, fell behind the sofa and died. 
They only found her the next day when they woke up.

Maddie could have woken during the night gone into the sitting room, had a fit, banged her head and died and they only found her the next day when they woke up.

They could have checked her during the night whilst they were eating and drinking and thought she was asleep when she was really in a coma/dead.

There was something that happened that could not be explained away.

Evidence of long term and ongoing sedation?

Evidence of physical abuse that could not be explained away as the usual rough and tumble of accident prone toddlers?

Evidence of old and healing injuries that had not been treated by their own doctor or in a hospital?

Evidence of sexual abuse which could never be explained away as accidental?

There was something so incriminating, that the mccanns and chums were forced to claim they neglected their children on a nightly basis and risk possible jail terms of up to 10 years (neglect resulting in harm) rather than have the truth be revealed and face a possible life sentence.

What Will £750,000 Find That 8 Years, Police Investigations Involving Two Countries and Millions of Pounds Hasn't Found?

If a multi year, multi million pound police investigation has turned up nothing, what do the mccans think they will find with the allegedly remaining £750,000 and some dodgy private investigators?

What should be asked is, if 10's of millions of pounds have turned up not one iota of  evidence of the alleged abductor, if no trace of Maddie has ever been found ( including the barely there presence in 5a), not one credible/remotely believable sighting of Maddie has ever been found, then the obvious conclusion is:
THERE WAS NO ABDUCTOR.
THERE WAS NO ABDUCTION.

If there was no abductor and thus no abduction, and Maddie is still clearly missing, then the obvious conclusion is that Maddie met her demise at the hand of one or both of her parents and, possibly one or more of the tapas 7.

One or both of her parents and one or more of the tapas 7 are involved in her disposal.

The parents and most, if not all the tapas 7 (possibly not Diane Webster) as well as dear clarrie are involved in the subsequent cover up , perverting the course of justice, obstruction of justice.

Madeleine McCann’s parents are poised to launch a new ­private search for their daughter with the remaining £750,000 in their appeal fund.
Kate and Gerry, both 47, aim to begin a fresh initiative to solve the nine-year-old mystery as the £12million Scotland Yard investigation winds down.
Plans are under way to use what is left of the No Stone Unturned fund, boosted by sales of Kate’s book Madeleine, to hire private detectives to probe several unanswered questions.
A source told the Sunday People : “There is £750,000 in the account. That money has been ­preserved because Kate and Gerry knew they may want to reopen an ­investigation at some point.
“They have always said they’ll do ­anything they can to keep going. That ­commitment remains.”

Why did they know they had to 'preserve' that money?


Given the PJ and the Metropolitan Police were investigating the case and currently still are, how did the mccanns know they would need the money to reopen an investigation?

Did they know Maddie would not be found?
Did they know no 'abductor' would be found?


Not the inclusion of the qualifier MAY.

A qualifier is a word then when removed doesn't change the meaning of the sentence.
Here we have a considerable weakening of the sentence and statement as a whole.

He doesn't tell us that if the investigation is closed by the PJ and the Metropolitan Police the mccanns will then pay to hire investigators to try and find where they dumped Maddie.


He tells us only that they MAY reopen AN investigation.He doesn't tell us they would reopen THE investigation, only AN investigation.Any investigation by the mccanns investigators has been restricted to only looking for an alleged paedophile abductor and that the mccanns and friends are not to be investigated at all.

Because is highlighted in blue making it sensitive.
Because is used to explain why something happened or was done.
It preempts the question 'Why was the money being preserved?'
The are thinking ahead and answer the question before it is asked which makes it sensitive and warrants further questioning.
“The McCanns still feel there are a lot of questions that remain unanswered but they still have full confidence in the Metropolitan Police .”Note, he speaks only of the Metropolitan police and fails to mention the Portuguese investigation in relation to having full confidence.

This indicates sensitivity.

They may have some input/control over the UK investigation, they have none with the Portuguese.

At best, in the UK they would face charges in relation to the fraudulent fund, other charges may be possible in relation to  neglect of the children both in Portugal and also since they returned to the UK and social services got involved.

In Portugal they would face charges of homicide, concealment of a corpse and filing a false police report, other possible charges could relate to fundraising in Portugal, the boxes and buckets, obtaining money and services by deception and so on.

It is interesting to note he mentions a lot of questions that remain unanswered.

Leakage.

Until kate answers those 48 unanswered questions, they will hang round her neck like a millstone.

The word "but" should always be observed carefully, particularly observing the words that follow the word "but" in comparison to what preceded it.
It can refute what preceded it, or can be used to compare, or even negate what preceded it.

The claim she was advised not to answer the 48 questions by her attorney on the grounds it may incriminate her is in itself incriminating and implicating.

If she and gerry were innocent of involvement in the death, disposal and subsequent cover up, then there would be nothing incriminating to arrest and charge them.

Innocent parents do not have to worry about saying anything incriminating.
They would answer each and every question put to them.

However, guilty parents do have to worry about incriminating themselves.Their attorneys will advise them to say nothing, to not answer even the most innocuous of questions as there is great risk of open mouth insert feet and incriminate oneself.

Kate is between a rock and a hard place.
If she refuses to answer the questions she implicates and incriminates herself.
If she answers the questions she implicates and incriminates herself as all the discrepancies are revealed.

As it stands, her refusal to answer the 48 questions makes her look as guilty as heck, especially with the excuse given.

It has, and will, continue to haunt her until Maddie is found and all those involved are behind bars.

Note also the qualifier FEEL which weakens the statement.

I would ask what questions they feel have been unanswered?

I would ask if they consider the questions unanswered include the 48 asked of kate?

I would ask if kate would be willing to answer the 48 questions she refused to answer as well as any new ones.

I would also ask gerry and the tapas 7 the exact same questions along with any others i could think of.

I would also ask gerry why he answered all his questions yet kate, who allegedly discovered Maddie was missing refused to answer all hers bar one.


If i wasn't such a suspicious Hobs, i would think it was so their answers could not be cross checked and all the discrepancies revealed in all their glory and a swift end to the investigation.


Now, this wouldn't be something akin to the truth would it?

Retrofitting, Leakage and Avoidance Of The Truth

The mccann's do a lot of retrofitting to explain away any discrepancies.
The problem is, by coming up with an explanation for something said or unsaid, for explaining why something was done or not done, they then have a gap which was previously explained away, and now need to come up with something plausible to explain it away and fill the new gap.

Since they have been deceptive from the start, there will always be holes in their version of events.
Truthful people will have few if any gaps and they can relate the event forwards,backwards and from any point in between.

It is experienced memory.
 
Deceptive people will have gaps, temporal lacunae, they cannot, with any reliability, recite their event backwards or from a particular point they can usually only go forwards.
 
This is because it is NOT experienced memory, it is a story

If one looks closely enough and listens carefully enough, one will see a truth shaped hole.
The subject tries to avoid saying anything that could be remotely incriminating, remotely truthful as the truth is sensitive to them, thus they avoid any sensitive words as they spin their spiel.

The sensitive words are words that innocent parents would use, as there is no sensitivity, there is no guilt or comeback on what they say.

With the mccanns and their chums, they avoid the sensitive stuff as it causes stress and the body and brain do not like stress.

As a result we hear verbal diarrhea, stuttering and stammering, nonsense words and gobbledygook as they try to explain away words and actions without saying anything incriminating.

For such well experienced professionals, used to dealing with the public, and explaining complicated stuff to the public, they come across and almost incoherent and unintelligible as they spin themselves into circles of deceit

This results in truth shaped holes in their language.

They also leak the truth whilst trying actively not to, the mouth speaks before engaging brain resulting in verbal oopsies.

Kate talking about murder:

"They want me to lie - I'm being framed.

 "Police don't want a MURDER in Portugal and all the publicity about them not having paedophile laws here, so they're blaming us."'

Gerry telling us:
"there is NO evidence to implicate us in her DEATH',
Tanner telling us "I carried..." in the panorama interview when talking about how the 'abductor' she saw was carrying Maddie.

 


Then we have the delightful clarrie dropping the mccann's right in itCan I suggest you actually quote me accurately. I said: ‘I believe Kate and Gerry are not responsible for Madeleine’s death’.”
Then rachel oldfield happily telling us in her rogatory interview

Yeah I was just going to say that, you know Kate and Gerry are both Doctors and you know there were three other medics in the group, erm four others actually sorry, four others, erm you know so if by any chance they’d accidentally done anything to Madeleine or she was ill or erm you know something wasn’t quite right, I mean they wouldn’t have just left her and sort of tried to cover it up as an accident or you know, they would of sort of you know, come and got Matt and Russell and Dave and Fi, erm I mean you know, not just because they are Doctors, because you know they’re parents and you’d kind of go to anyone to see who could help but if you’ve got, you know Doctors as friends who were there as well, erm you know there were kind of six people there who if Madeleine had accidentally been bumped on the head or you know whatever the theories are supposed to be, erm you know, there were plenty of people there who could of you know, tried to revive a child, erm”.


Then we have exhibit #1 kate's bewk.

Maddie's name was all in lower case whilst kate's name was all in upper case indicating priority and importance.


A book that was more about kate with gerry and the twins as afterthoughts, than about Maddie, For whom the book was named after.

I bet her lawyers were thrilled when they learned kate had written a book after they had told her not to answer 48 questions in case she incriminated herself.

Kate can't help herself, the stress of lying, the stress of being trapped in a loveless marriage, the stress of guilty knowledge is taking its toll on her.

I think, if kate was interviewed by the right person, someone who listens and doesn't judge, who is approachable and patient, someone who is empathetic and she feels comfortable with, kate would open up and talk just to relieve the stress and allowing her to start grieving properly and also to get the help she needs.

The brain wants to talk, to relieve the stress, to confess.

I and many others are willing to listen.

It is also worth noting that they had family flying down whenever they had spare time to help kate with the children.
Then there is also the nursery helper Sharon Lewin  who ended up  helping kate with the children at home.

It seems to be that no one trusted kate to be left alone with the children for any length of time.

Could this be why there is silence from the families?

Guilty knowledge that, they knew there were issues in kate and gerry's family.

Guilty knowledge that, by saying nothing, they may have contributed to Maddie's subsequent death, disposal and cover up?

Guilty knowledge that, by leaving kate with the three toddlers, essentially unsupervised, it led to the eventual death of Maddie

Now that Maddie is no longer alive, kate became less volatile, she could manage with two, especially knowing we, the public were closely watching along with social services and LE.

The mccanns would never admit to being investigated by social services or that the twins were possibly on a protection register, oh no, it wouldn't fit in with their perfect happy family image, hence the mccanns inviting social services in for a cuppa and a biscuit.

I do wonder though, how many families of genuinely missing, abducted by a stranger children were visited by social services?

Is it a case now that the families feel what is done is done, the the twins are currently in no danger as they have grown older and have become easier to deal with.
(I do wonder what will happen once they hit the terrible teens)

They perhaps are keeping a closer eye on the twins, even if from a distance, and also monitoring the relationship between kate and gerry and, when it seems fireworks are in the air, perhaps stepping in.

We know the marriage was in trouble before the fateful trip and money was tight, all grounds for rows and fights.
Now they have money and can currently meet their financial needs, they will tolerate each other.

They are tied together since if one broaches separation and divorce, any custody fight could end up with one parent  speaking the truth of what happened to stop the other getting custody, especially if there are mental health issues in play.

The classic if I can't have them I am making darn sure you can't either, and we all know how that has a tendency to end up as.

The other is well, if I am going down I am not going down alone, and then proceeding to name names and deeds and taking everyone down with them.

At the moment, legally, they are in limbo.

When Dr.Goncalo Amaral wins and the mccanns are liable to pay huge fines, compensation and a whole gamut of legal fees for both sides from multiple cases, then I see the twins being at risk of genuine harm.

Even should he lose some or all, the mccanns are still liable for all the costs incurred from their attempted banning of Dr, Amaral's book

With the mccanns it is all about appearances,  having the right jobs, the right house in the right area, the right car, the right social circles, the right memberships of the right clubs.

What will happen when it all comes crashing down, when their supporters (most of whom have already jumped ship and distanced themselves) turn their backs and disown them?

Everything they worked for  all down the drain.
Kate, who it is known, worked hard to become a doctor, and now is no longer practicing in any shape or form.

Kate who never returned to the locum job in the practice she was employed at ( I wonder if she resigned or, they told her  to not return due to her self confessed neglect of three toddlers)

They become simply another pair of abusive  parents.

No matter how they try to spin it, so far they have failed to nullify the neglectful parents stigma.

They had to 'admit neglect' in order for there to have been an abduction.
It was a stain on their character they hoped would be washed away by public sympathy.
Spend enough money, call in enough favors and  nothing will happen.
For them, anything and everything can be bought with enough money or threats.

They are both narcissists enabled by their parents, especially kate being an only child.
Is the silence from their families guilt, because they raised their  children to be completely selfish narcissists who believe the world owes them everything, who raised them to be the center of their own universe?

Is it a case of, if we had been stricter, raised them better, none of this would have happened?

Maddie is dead because of what we did and didn't do to and for kate and gerry?

Time will tell.

Their dam is cracked, and, sooner or later the water of truth will breach the dam of lies and all will be seen and known for what it is and was.

Unexpected Language From The mccanns And Their Family And Friends

What i have noted about this case, is the unexpected language from Maddie's family including grandparents and aunts and uncles.

When someone dies, no matter how horrible they are, people will always try and find something nice to say about them.

It is natural and expected.

It can be something as simple as a neighbor referring to their murderous neighbor as quiet even though he murdered multiple people before dying.
A parent saying their daughter was a good girl, even though she killed her own children before killing herself.

What is not natural and is unexpected is when family subtly demean the victim.

It is as if they are blaming the victim for whatever happened to them, they deserved whatever happened.
This is even more so when the victim is a child.

No one deserves to die at the hand of their loved one.
No child deserves to die at the hand of their parent.

What is often seen is the killer will cast dispersion in relation to their victim.
It is the victim's fault they got murdered.
If they had been good, better behaved, obedient, quiet, smarter, prettier, their biological child rather than say an IVF baby/step child/foster child/adopted child, a boy, a girl, blonder, lighter, taller, perfect they would have lived.

Here, with kate and gerry and, alarmingly their own parents and siblings, we have Maddie described as almost perfect when born, they tell us she was demanding, jealous, colicky, had a temper, would scream, she would pinch and poke her siblings.

This is a serious red flag.

It seems that no one in the families liked or wanted Maddie.

She spent her first Christmas when the twins were born with  her grandparents,

WHY?

Kate refused to answer the question regarding if she wanted to hand care of Maddie to one of her other family members,

WHY?

Is this because Maddie was an IVF baby?

Is this because perhaps Maddie isn't  a mccann biological child?
This would go to giving a lot of motive should it be true, and explain why she was killed.

Was Maddie seen as the red headed step child and blamed for everything wrong in the marriage and family dynamics?

Was Maddie seen as imperfect and she spoiled what is seen as the perfect family, mom dad and a beautiful blonde haired boy and girl twins?
Two respected professionals with a nice house and high social standing.
She didn't fit in so she had to go?

She competed with one of the parents for attention and lost?

She was too much like kate, kate perhaps having mental health issues, and Maddie was killed for altruistic reasons?
She could not be allowed to grow up and end up like kate?

What is concerning to me is, the lack of statements from Maddie's grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins, demanding Maddie's "abductor" (read killer) be caught.
Telling us how wonderful Maddie was.
How much she is missed.
Asking people to come forward and talk to LE if they think they may have seen or heard something.

Heck, even the rest of the tapas group, I would expect to speak out occasionally, and ask for people to come forward if they think they may know something.

Instead, we have deafening silence from everyone except kate and gerry and, their spokespoodle clarrie.

WHY?

Is it because the families know or suspect the real truth about who did what to Maddie and  are circling the wagons around kate and/or gerry in order to protect the family honor and reputation?

Is it a case of what is done, is done, we need to keep the family together and protect the twins?

The twins are safe from risk of harm, for now though this may change depending on the future.

The problem for the families and the tapas 7 and, yes, even clarrie, is, when the truth comes out, as it will, they could all face possible charges of obstruction of justice, aiding and abetting, fraud along with anything else that can be thrown at them that may stick.

If it comes to pass that the tapas 7 , the families and clarrie realize they could end up doing some serious time, then it will be first past the post to talk wins the prize.

Kate and gerry will have no qualms about throwing everyone under the bus to save their own skins, including each other.

They also need to remember that kate telegraphed her intent to press a button and they would ALL be together.
She has just admitted to the world she is willing to murder the twins, gerry (justifiable homicide in his case?) and then commit suicide, the only way they could ALL be together , since Maddie is long dead.

Anything unexpected in a statement must be noted and examined and investigated further.

It could mean nothing.

It could mean everything in relation to solving a case.

Cowering means to hide in fear from something scary or threatening or domineering.

Why did you use the word COWERING rather than the expected HIDING?

We learned that Maddie hid from you in the bushes one night, something that has yet to be explained away.

Why, do you think, would Maddie be COWERING in the wardrobe?
If she was scared of something then, on hearing you come into the bedroom, she would have called out or you would have heard her, perhaps crying and scared.

Instead you use the word COWERING.
COWERING is not something I would expect to hear regarding a child having a bad dream or simply being awake and alone in the apartment (I don't believe they were ever left alone in the apartment)

Now, a child who is terrified of being punished for something would run and COWER in a small space.
A child who is terrified of something that was being done to them or about to be done to them would run and hide, COWERING in a corner of cupboard/wardrobe.

Given that there were massive bruises on your wrists and arms kate, none of which can be explained away by punching the walls, the bruises being in the exact spots that a hand would grab when restraining someones hands or arms.

Your words leak and tell me you and gerry have anger management issues, you are always furious, raging, incandescent in your statement and even your actions (remember you shaking an imaginary Maddie when you spoke about wishing you had questioned her further about the crying?)
Normal parents don't shake their children, you, as a doctor should and would know this, yet, in your actions you leaked the truth.

You complained about how demanding Maddie was, crying non stop and you feared she would attack the twins ( it is extremely rare for a child to attack a younger child, though accidents can and do happen when the older child forgets they are bigger and stronger and knocks the younger child, or doesn't hold their younger sibling properly)

Your use of the word COWERING reveals more than you want the world to think about your family dynamics.

Remember also you spoke of Maddie's FEAR OF PAIN.
You later changed it to FEAR AND PAIN when we pointed out the leakage.

The problem though is, once words are said, they cannot be unsaid, and, once again you leaked more about your family dynamics than you wanted the world to know.

It's simple really.

The truth can be revealed in the slip of one single word out of many, possibly hundreds or thousands.One single word is all it takes.

Kate you have given us multiple examples of one single word that reveals the truth of the lie.
You have given us multiple examples of a couple or three words that tell the truth of the lie.

Remember these?

"Police don't want a MURDER in Portugal"

"and you just want to press a button, and we're ALL GONE, and it's ALL FINISHED, and we're ALL together and GONE"

"it wasn't as bad as the night WE FOUND HER".

"there's no evidence to implicate us in her DEATH"

She doesn't tell us she would not have left the children alone ( they didn't,  I will use her own claim)
She doesn't say she would have used the evening creche.
She doesn't say she would have used a babysitter.
She doesn't say we would have eaten dinner in the apartment.
All of which is the expected.Note the qualifier Very, which is used twice making it sensitive to kate and also weakening her statement
Instead she would simply look around and have a good think.

She has to say what she did, as whatever happened to Maddie could and would not have been prevented by turning back time and becoming a responsible parent.

Perhaps you could get one of your minions to come up with a reasonable explanation, clarrie might do, he though has a habit of dropping you right in it even more than you do so yourselves..

I wish I could roll back time and go back to the day before Madeleine was abducted. I would slow down time. I would get a really good look around and have a really good think. And I'd think: Where are you? Who are you? Who is secretly watching my family? Because someone was watching my family very, very carefully. And taking notes.

This is a very telling statement.
If it were you or I, we would turn back time and change what we did prior to the event.
We wouldn't leave the children alone.
We would use the evening creche.
We would hire a babysitter.
We would have one of the group babysit all the children in one place.
We would stay in and eat with our children.
Or, we would take them with us.
 By changing what we did, there could be no abduction, and Madeleine would still be with us.
An abductor isn't going to take on an adult to get to a child.
If the children were in one apartment, the creche or at the tapas bar, Madeleine wouldn't have been available to abduct and thus would still be alive today.

Instead, kate tells us she would look around, see who is watching.
Note also, And at the beginning of a sentence indicates missing information.
Why is there missing information in relation to thinking?
What is there to think about?
You don't leave children allegedly home alone every night.
it doesn't require any thinking about, it would be parental instinct.
They did not leave the children home alone as claimed.
Each night there was at least one adult missing from the table.
For there to have been an abduction as claimed, they had to claim neglect.
No neglect meant no abduction.
No abduction meant awkward questions as to what happened to Madeleine

Order is also important.
She asks Where are you first rather than Who are you.
The Where will change as they move around, the Who will always be the same
Why is there missing information in relation to taking notes?
Why do this, and not what the rest of us would do if given the opportunity to turn back time?

Note also the qualifier secretly, which weakens the statement.
A qualifier is a word which, when removed, doesn't change the meaning of the sentence.
Because is used to explain why something happened

We then have  more qualifiers, very, very carefully.
Each qualifier weakens the statement, we have the word very repeated twice followed by the word carefully.This makes the sentence sensitive to her.
Who is the one taking notes?
There is no pronoun to tell us who the note taker is.
Is it kate?
Rather than doing the expected and taking action such as changing their routine or contacting the police?
Is it the alleged abductor?
What use would notes be if, at anytime, all the adults could suddenly break into becoming responsible parents and either use the creche, the babysitter,  have one of the adults from the group babysit all the children in one apartment, bring the children with them to dinner, or, eat at home with their children?
There was no abduction.

Whatever happened, happened.

Changing their routine to prevent an abduction would have made no difference, Madeleine would still be dead.

It doesn't cross her mind to change their routine, it would have made no difference.

She is stuck with the abduction as claimed thus all she has left open to her is the spiel about looking around to see who was watching.

Kate told us whatever happened wasn't because they were sleeping, it was something else, she knows, she was there

I know that what happened is not due to the fact of us leaving the children asleep.

I know it happened under other circumstances.

I know the situation we were in that night.

So kate, what were the other circumstances?
If the children weren't asleep when you left they had to be awake which contradicts your claim they were asleep when you left them.
I know is repeated three times making it sensitive.

The brain knows the truth, it wants to tell.

Lying is stressful and, as we have seen particularly this year, you look now like you should have looked when Madeleine went missing.

The guilt and stress are eating you alive.

So much so, you telegraphed to the world openly about you wanting to commit suicide after killing your surviving children and gerry  when you spoke about pressing a button and you would ALL be together.

The key word being ALL, since you could only ALL be together if you knew Madeleine was already dead, otherwise, you committed murder-suicide, and made Madeleine an orphan

This is not the expected behavior of an innocent parent.
It is also deeply concerning as to your mental health.

The time is now to admit the truth and bring this charade to an end.

It will come to an end and it won't be in favor of you and gerry.

It is easier to admit what happened, give Madeleine the decent burial you desperately want for her allowing you to grieve publicly.

Admitting the truth of what happened will let you get the help it is clear you desperately need.

Talking now and ending this, means you have a bargaining chip, something to use for a plea deal.

Not talking now means more and more stress, paranoia wondering who is watching you, tailing you, listening to your calls, intercepting emails, seeing who you meet.
Wondering if today it comes crashing down with the early morning knock on the door.
 

Your mental stress must be enormous, what with maintaining a lie, trapped in a marriage where you had issues long before Madeleine 'disappeared'.

Lying to your growing children when they ask questions.

How long can you restrict their access to the Internet, where I can be certain they will be Googling information regarding Madeleine and the events of that week and the subsequent years, if they aren't already?
 

The fear that maybe they heard or saw something they shouldn't have during that week of the vacation?

The fear that in the ensuing weeks, months and years, they have overheard you and gerry  talking, arguing about the situation they now find themselves in, perhaps when you thought they were too young to understand or, when you thought they were asleep.

It is surprising how much children remember when adults around them did something or talked about something.

All it takes is a sound, a picture, even a smell or taste to bring memories flooding back.

The tapas 7 will cover their own butts first and foremost, they will blame you and gerry minimizing their own involvement.
There was little to connect you before.
You weren't even close friends, just acquaintances.
They owe you nothing and, if push comes to shove, you and gerry will be thrown under the bus post haste.
 

Could your downfall even come at the hands of your own children?

Your own words reveal the truth of the lie.

Your own mouth kate, betrays you.
Your own thoughts kate, betray you.
The thoughts that are writ large upon your face kate, betray you.

Perhaps, relief that a burden had been lifted from your shoulders and life was wonderful after that fateful week has now ended up a burden on your shoulders that can never be lifted or eased, no matter what you say or how you behave or what you do until you speak the truth.

Crimes like this are never closed, they will be forever open and, one day, knock knock and it's game over.

Think about it kate.
